PURPOSE: To improve a wear property by alternately disposing two kinds of annular disks on a carrier bar and respectively forming these disks of elastic and ceramic materials. CONSTITUTION: The annular disks 1 and 2 consisting of the different materials are lined up and are passed onto the cylindrical carrier bar 3. The disk 2 of the smaller diameter consists of steel and the disk 1 of the larger diameter consists of ceramics. The thickness of the annular disks is specified to 0.1 to 0.5 mm. The intermediate annular disk 2 is produced from the elastic material. As a result, the elasticity over the entire part of the bar increases and, therefore, the exertion of excessive load on the ceramic annular disk 1 when the doctor bar deflects is prevented. As a result, the mass production of the doctor bar having the excellent wear resistance characteristic is made possible.
