PURPOSE:To obtain the toner which has a good release property and cleanability and fixing strength and does not generate sweeping patterns in a solid black part by incorporating paraffin wax modified by carboxylic acid or the acid anhydride thereof into the toner. CONSTITUTION:The paraffin wax modified by the carboxylic acid or the acid anhydride thereof (acid modified PW), i.e. the acid modified PW increased in the cohesion force among the molecular chains by grafting the carboxylic acid or the acid anhydride thereof is incorporated into the toner. Any paraffin wax, such as natural paraffin wax and synthetic paraffin wax, are usable as the paraffin wax to be subjected to the acid modification. Particularly the Fischer-Tropsh wax byproduced at the time of production of sythetic petroleum from coal has high hardness and is more preferable. The toner which has the good fixing characteristic and cleanability and does not cause a sweeping pattern accident is obtd. in this way. |
