PURPOSE:To provide a detergent which enables cleaning and deodorizing at the same time by mixing a cationic, anionic, nonionic or ampholytic surface active agent and a flavonoid with an oil or oily organic compound. CONSTITUTION:A surface active agent selected from cationic, anionic, nonionic, and ampholytic surface active agents (e.g. a coconut oil alcohol/ethylene oxide adduct or a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether) and a flavonoid based on the chemical constitution of the formula (e.g. flavone) are mixed with an oil or oily organic compound (e.g. alpha-pinene) to produce a detergent. When this detergent, usually diluted with water, is used to clean the hand, clothing, a chopping board for cooking, etc., odors such as a body odor and a fish odor can be efficiently removed at the same time while cleaning is effected. |
