<p>A jet engine thrust reverser has pivoting gates, each comprising an external gate (9) and an internal flap (11), which constitutes the flow deflection obstruction (27) in the unfolded position. The gate is moved by means of a ball screw (21), the nut (22) of which is connected to the external gate (9) and to the internal flap (11) respectively by means of connecting rods (23, 24), the external gate (9) pivoting about a fixed main pivot (19) and the internal flap (11) pivoting about a secondary pivot (20), which also causes it to slide towards the rear. Discharge grilles (25) are arranged on either side of the said ball screw (21), allowing the direction of the reversed thrust (27) to be controlled and arranged in the direct thrust position between the external gate (9) and the internal flap (11). <IMAGE></p> |
