NEW MATERIAL:An antifungal and antibiotic substance R106 derivative expressed by formula I [R is methyl or ethyl; Z1 is MePhe (Me is methyl), beta-(R2O)MePhe (R2 is 1-10C acryl, etc.); Z2 is Val, Leu, etc.; Z3 is MeVal or Val; Z4 is beta-(R2O)MeVal, beta-HOMeVal, etc.]. USE:A remedy for fungal microbism. PREPARATION:For example, triethylamine, acetic anhydride and 4- dimethylaminopyridine are added to an antibiotic substance R106, produced by a microorganism, such as Aureobasidium.pullulans No. R106 (Ferm-P 938), and expressed by formula II (R is methyl or ethyl; X1 is MePhe, Phe, etc.; X2 is Val, Leu, etc.; X3 is MeVal or Val; X4 is beta-HOMeVal, etc.) and the resultant mixture is stirred at ambient temperature overnight. The obtained reaction solution is subsequently poured into ice water, extracted with ethyl acetate, evaporated to dryness under reduced pressure, subjected to preparative high- performance liquid chromatography and purified to afford the compound expressed by formula I. |
