摘要 PURPOSE:To enable high quality laser beam machining without developing any damage to a material to be machined caused by reflected beam transmitting the material to be machined or upper end face of a honeycomb, by forming fine rugged part on surface of a block of the honeycomb structure with sand blast method, etc. CONSTITUTION:When the laser beam 4 is reflected with a scanning mirror 1 and this reflected beam 4a transmits the material 10 to be machined and reaches a side face plate 8, the reflected beam 4a is irregularly reflected with the rugged part formed on the surface 8a of side face plate 8. Then, when the reflected beam 4c is diffused and reaches the adjacent side face plate 8, by irregularly reflecting beam 4C there, too, the reflected beam 4d is further diffused to irradiate the rear of material 10 to be machined. However, as the irradiating laser beam is irregularly reflected and diffused with the side face plates 8 two times to reach the rear of material 10 to be machined, energy of the irradiating laser beam per unit area is drastically attenuated and it is prevented that the material 10 to be machined is damaged. Further, the material 10 is protected from being caught at the time of laying or taking off the material to be machined.
