PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of information to be processed to shorten processing time by setting a ring shape window of constant radius centering the center point of a work consisting of a circular body, and performing discrimination based on data in the window.. CONSTITUTION:The work 2 consisting of the circular body is carried to an image fetching position with a belt conveyer 1, and also, a camera 3 is mounted at the upper side of the image fetching position facing downward, and an image signal fetched with the camera 3 is inputted to an image processing device 5. The image processing device 5 calculates the center 11 of the circular body as the work 2, and sets the ring shape window 14 centering the center of the circular body, and performs the discrimination of the circular body 2 by comparing image data in the window 14 with discrimination data prepared in advance. In such a way, the quantity of information to be processed can be reduced, and the discrimination can be processed in a short time. |
