The large silo of circular cross-section for loose grain has a central container (7) divided by an upright partition (8) into an outer annular inlet chamber (9) and a central mixing chamber (10) which projects vertically (H) over the upper end (9a) of the outer annular inlet chamber (9) whereby the maximum and minimum indicator units (16,17) are mounted in the inlet chamber. This inlet chamber has at its upper end (9a) the inlet openings (12) whilst at its base area (11a) it has material overflow openings (18) leading to the central mixing chamber (10). The base (11a) of the annular inlet chamber (9) and the base (11b) of the central mixing chamber are provided with separate independently controllable ventilation devices (20,21). USE/ADVANTAGE - Storage silo with greater versatility since the material can be withdrawn zone-wise and discontinuously from the main silo chamber.
