The device is for stacking upright folded sheets. It brings horizontal sheets into an approximately vertical position on a stacking table. In the transfer area of the sheets (1) level with the stack conveyor belts (10) there is at least one horizontal chain drive (11) with evenly spaced sheet guide elements (12). Chain drives (13) standing either side of the stack conveyor belts (10) are provided with upright sheet guide elements (14) so that the sheet guide elements (14) and the sheet guide elements (12) form the outline of a chamber (15) which is open at the top and into which at least one folded sheet (1) is inserted from the conveyor device (2). USE/ADVANTAGE - A high speed accurate stacking of the sheets is possible without the need for rhythmic operation.
