<p>A leash retractor including a retractor subassembly (10) housed within housing (12). Subassembly (10) includes a spring activated leash spool (42) for reeling in leash L. Leash spool (42) is radially biased via coil retractor spring (45) which in turn is retained by retainer (66). Housing (12) has cover (72) attached thereto via a press fit stub and boss connection. The leash retractor can be used in connection with a dog collar, such as dog collar (14) or independently, such as a child restraining leash or luggage carrying leash.</p> |
