A transport arrangement for containers in handling machines contains several transport elements on a closed movement path turned by belt pulleys and a continuous belt passing over a drive roller. The belt (1) fully encloses the circulation path of the pulleys (2). The belt is in contact with them over part of their rotation path and separated from them over the rest of the path. In the separated region the belt passes over the fixed drive roller (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for use in labelling or inspection machines. The arrangement is designed for reduced size.
