<p>PURPOSE:To provide possibility of analyzing even in the event of temporary failure by accumulating the digital data in a control unit for different type of cars in a specified amount in accordance with the hysteresis of its occurrence, and by prohibiting the accumulation under certain conditions. CONSTITUTION:From an output means P, a monitoring unit 4 takes in the digital data in a control unit 3 for different types of cars for the internal combustion engine, airconditioner, etc., of a car, stores them in a hysteresis memory 23 in a specified amount in accordance with the hysteresis of its occurrence, and displays on a display means 25. When a failure judging means 27 generates a car failure signal, a prohibiting means 28 prohibits the accumulation of the data in the abovementioned hysteresis memory 23 on the condition that a specified period of time has elapsed or a certain specific amount of data accumulation has been attained, or that a diagnostic switch 25 for diagnosis of the car operating condition has been put on, and thus the data before and after occurrence of abnormality are retained in a specified amount. This provides practicability of easily analyzing the cause of failure occurrence even though it happens temporarily.</p> |
