PURPOSE:To correctly detect the positional deviation of electronic components by observing an end of a large-size electronic component by two optical systems and observing the whole small-size electronic component by one of said two optical systems. CONSTITUTION:A visual checker 10 is provided with two optical systems 11, 12 in parallel. A mirror 14 is provided above the optical system 11, and a half mirror 15 is provided above the optical system 12. These mirrors 14, 15 are inclined 45 deg.. A light incident upon each optical system 11, 12 is observed by a camera 16. When a large-size component P1 is observed, two shutters 17a, 18a are alternately opened and closed to observe a corner on a diagonal line of the electronic component P1 by the optical systems 11, 12. When a small-size electronic component P2 is to be observed, one shutter 17a is closed, with the other 18a opened, so that the electronic component P2 is observed by the optical system 12. |
