PURPOSE:To improve the security of the input operation of a password by comprising a device so as to vary the arrangement of keys as the input part of a password input device, and preventing an inputted password from being read only by the position of the finger of an operator who inputs the password even when the input operation is observed by another person. CONSTITUTION:A selection key 6 which can vary key arrangement is provided, and when the operator fears that the input operation of the password is observed by another person from a rear side, numerals on a screen can be re-arranged by depressing the selection key 6. When the operator performs key-in at such state, no inputted numeral can be discriminated only by the position of the finger performing the key-in of the operator by another person unless the another person observes the numeral on the screen. When the operator completes a series of input/output operations and the next person performs a transaction operation and a state awaiting the input of the password is set, the key arrangement to be displayed is returned to an initial state. Thereby, the input of the password is performed without anxiety. |
