The adjustable wrench (2) has several contact surfaces (4) for the flanks (5) of an adjustable head (1). Two adjacent contact surfaces (4', 4'') with bevelled undersides are brought out of a common segment (10). Opposite segments (10, 11) work against the action of a spring (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - Can be used with precision even with heavily soiled adjustable heads.
