<p>PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a battery by providing a means which disconnects power supply automatically when terminal equipment is not operated within registered time. CONSTITUTION:For instance, assuming that the time during which the terminal equipment is not operated is 10 minutes, the data of 10 minutes is inputted from a keyboard 5, and the data is transmitted to a central processing unit 1 through a keyboard interface (I/F) 4. The central processing unit 1 displays this data on a display 7 through a display interface (I/F) 6, and simultaneously, stores it in the area 2a of a RAM 2. The central processing unit 1 checks whether the time inputted from the keyboard 5 is the time stored in the area 2a of the RAM 2 or not, and when there is no input within this time, it issues a power interruption command to a power interface (I/F) 8, and interrupts the power source 9. Thus, the life of a power source 9 can be prolonged.</p> |
