To improve the electrical endurance of a low-voltage circuit-breaker for high currents, having multiple contacts of equal lengths, and a fixed arc-guidance horn (20) equipped with an intermediate flange (60) extending over a short distance in the direction of movement of the frontal extensions (58) of the contact fingers, there is formed, in the gap between the flange (60) and the fixed main contact (24), a fixed arc contact (64) intended to cooperate with the moving arc contact (62) of at least one contact finger (34). At the start of the opening travel, the closing of the arc contacts (62, 64) takes place before separation of the main contacts (24, 56).
