PURPOSE:To reduce the power of a driver by a method in which a printing mechanism and an erasing mechanism are provided in parallel and operated independently of each other. CONSTITUTION:A clutch drum 18 is turned by a drive motor 28b. During the printing period, current is supplied to the first trigger magnet 25a at a timing to stop the rotation of a printing wheel 47, and the coupling between an actuator 25 and the projection 16a of the first stopper 16 is released, whereupon the first clutch 26 is connected by the elasticity of a clutch spring 17. By this, the power from the motor 28b is transmitted to the second gear 14, the third gear 31, and the second cam 33, and when a horseshoe-shaped part 42 is dropped into the tier section 37 of a cam 33, a hammer is operated. On the other hand, when erasing operation is made, current is supplied to the trigger magnet 27a, the second clutch 28 is connected, the third cam 34 is turned, and the hammer is operated. |
