PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption at the time of not mounting incorporated accessory devices yet and to prevent the occurrence of noise of a cooling fan motor by switching the rotational frequency of the cooling fan motor in accordance with presence/absence or the number of accessory devices like peripheral devices incorporated in an information processor. CONSTITUTION:A signal A which is outputted from an incorporated peripheral device 3 and is made effective for mounting of the incorporated peripheral device is inputted to a control part 1a of the information processor main body and a power supply device 2a. When the signal A is effective, the power supply device 2a converts the voltage of a power line B supplied to a cooling fan motor 5 to switch the rotational frequency of the cooling fan motor 5; and when the signal A is ineffective, the voltage of the power line B supplied to the cooling fan motor 5 is controlled to return the rotational frequency of the motor 5 to the original value. The voltage supplied to the cooling fan motor 5 of the information processor is switched in this manner to reduce the power consumption at the time of partial mounting of peripheral devices, and the occurrence of noise or the like of the motor is prevented. |
