摘要 PURPOSE:To execute the distortion correction which enables the simplification of an optical system and the equal speed scan on the surface to be scanned by moving a light source and a lens in parallel on the scanning surface by synchronizing with a luminous flux scan. CONSTITUTION:In a scanning system containing a light source 1, a deflector 3 and a lens 2, the light source 1 and the lens 2 are moved in parallel on the scanning surface by synchronizing with a luminous flux scan, and a correction of a distortion characteristic is executed. That is, by negating a distance extending from the deflector 3 to the surface 4 to be scanned, and the distortion quantity caused by a scanning angle by the distortion correction quantity DELTAcaused by a parallel movement of an optical system, an equal speed scan is attained. In such a way, while simplifying the optical system, the problem caused by a non-equal speed scan can be eliminated.
