PURPOSE:To prevent useless copying by carrying out copying in a platen copying mode when an instruction to start copying is given after a document is placed on a platen glass and a platen cover is closed. CONSTITUTION:For example, if the previous user leaves forgetting the document D on a document tray 2, the next user can open a platen cover 1a, directly place the original D on the platen glass 4, closing the platen cover 14, and turning on the copying starting key, and copying is carried out in the platen copying mode. However, if the previous user forgets the document D on the platen glass 4 and leaves with the platen cover 1a closed, the next user can place the document on the document tray 2, when a copy starting key 22 is turned on, the previous document D is not copied but ejected to a document containing tray 7, and copying operation is carried out against the next document D in an ADF copying mode. |
