PURPOSE:To prevent active substance from becoming coarse by sintering an inert powder stable for changing and discharging together with a Ni powder. CONSTITUTION:A Ni powder for sintering, aqueous solution of organic sticking agent (for ex., aque. solution of methylcellulose), and inert powder stable against charging/discharging (for ex., SiC) are mixed together and kneaded, and the slurry obtained is coated on both sides of a porous metal plate, followed by drying and sintering in reductive atmosphere, to yield a sintered base board for an alkaline storage battery. This base board is impregnated with Cd as active substance, and thus a neg. electrode plate is accomplished. |
