<p>PURPOSE:To allow a master equipment to detect quickly a fault point when the fault occurs in a line by discriminating the fault such that it is the fault of a 1st line when a main reception section cannot receive a reply even after the prescribed time T1 elapses after the data transmission of the main transmission section and it is the fault of a 2nd line when other data cannot be received even after the time T2 elapses. CONSTITUTION:Upon the receipt of a notice of a command transmission, a main control section 321 sends a 1st operating start signal to a timer 322 whose operating time is T1 to set the timer and sends a switching control signal to switch SW1, SW2 to the position of (b). Thus, a response from a slave set is fed to a main reception section via a transmission line. Even when a status requesting command is sent from the master equipment and no reply comes within the time T1, the main control section detecting a timeout signal discriminates it as the fault for the transmission line or a slave equipment. Moreover, when the data representing the operating state cannot be received within the time T2 after the response is returned, the main control section detecting the timeout signal discriminates it to be the fault of a reception line or the slave equipment.</p> |
