A device for transmitting information consists of an emitter and a receiver interconnected by means of a domestic mains network via which they communicate information. The emitter (4) is connected to the telephone connecting plug (6) of a telephone set (1) and to a telephone connecting box (7) of the telephone exchange line and when a waking signal appears in the telephone set (1) or when the telephone receiver is lifted off, it sends a control signal through the domestic mains network. The receiver (5a) is connected to an electro-acoustic installation (2, 3). When it receives the control signal, the receiver reduces or switches off the low frequency energy immediately before the input of the loudspeaker(s) (3) of the installation (2, 3). The signals transmitted by the emitter (4) to the receiver (5a) are pulse-code modified signals. In this way, an electro-acoustic installation can be switched on or completely switched off softly, simply and reliably, by means of the waking signal of a telephone set or by lifting off the telephone receiver. |
