<p>In a process for removing NOx from exhaust gas involving passing the exhaust gas through an electric discharge tube (1), water, oxygen, air, nitrogen, noble gas or other effectively inert gas is introduced into the exhaust gas flow, preferably with water vapour, before passing the exhaust gas flow through the electric discharge tube (1) which is held at 100 DEG C or above. After the discharge treatment, the exhaust gas may also undergo absorbent treatment e.g. with alkali. Better NOx removal can be obtained, particularly on the oxygen-excessive side.</p> |
