PURPOSE: To simplify the structure and reduce the manufacturing cost of a continuous wrapping machine by a method wherein a work station is disposed along a predetermined route and a grip disposed along at least part of the predetermined route is designed to carry each seat at the work station in the reverse direction of a first carrier and at a predetermined speed. CONSTITUTION: Each grip 68 between stations 41 and 71 is moved through a station 14 and an end portion 8 of a package 7 is closed around an end portion 9 of a product 2 at said station 14. Said operation is conducted at a position where a product 2 is fixed to a work station 13. To this end, a cam 66 is moved to the direction of an arrow 74 in the reverse direction of an arrow 61 and a seat 4B corresponding to the cam 66 is held against a disk 59 at the station 13, the grip 68 being rotated around a pin 62 responsive to such a speed as to arrest the station 13 for a required length of time. Thereafter, each seat B is accelerated by the cam 66 in the direction of an arrow 61 until the grip 68 is returned to a normal diameter direction position against a disk 59.
