PURPOSE:To display a featured specific area by plotting an outline graphic of a specific area in an optional display image, plotting plural similar graphics gradually contracted from the outline graphic concentrically inside the outline graphic and expressing the density of these graphics in multi-gradation so as to be gradually thinned toward the inside direction. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk interface 14 reads out map information concerned from an optical disk 15 and transfers the read information to a plotting memory 13. A plotting CPU 11 reads out symbol information corresponding to the center position of a display circle from a data memory 12 and displays the read information in the memory 13. Similarly, the CPU 11 displays plural circles having the same center point and thickened by white toward the outside direction in the memory 13 by using plural radius data of the displayed circle. An image display device 16 displays the contents of the memory 13 as a density image. Consequently, a specific area on an optional display image can be displayed so as to be featured as compared with its periphery without using complex preprocessing or the like. |
