PURPOSE:To facilitate the confirmation of a sender or the like by storing an envelope at transmission and an envelope of a received mail. CONSTITUTION:A secondary storage section 6 to which a CPU 1 accesses is provided with a document storage section 12, an envelope storage section 16 and a mail storage section 14. At the transmission of a mail, a document is extracted from the storage section 12 and when a desired envelope exists in the storage section 16, it is extracted and synthesized. The synthesis is implemented by a seal management means 24. When the mail in the storage section 14 is confirmed, the envelope of the mail and the document are separated and the document is stored in the storage section 12 and the envelope is stored in the storage section 16. In order to confirm the content of the document, the opening to separate the document and the envelope is implemented by an opening processing means 25. Thus, the envelope is extracted again from the storage section 16 as required while the document is confirmed and then the envelope is confirmed. |
