The invention relates to a pivoting device for excavators or similar heavy equipment, and in particular, to a loading conveyor support with a pivoting device for a bucket-wheel excavator. The pivoting movement is effected by means of a ring gear and a drive, the drive being in the form of at least two toothed segments, preferably facing each other, which are adapted to be engaged and disengaged radially and to execute translatory movements in the tangential direction. The engaging and disengaging procedures and the translatory movements are effected by means of hydraulic cylinders. |
