PURPOSE:To obtain stereophonic effect that a player intends by providing a sound source means and changing localization according to whether the note number of note-on information is even or odd. CONSTITUTION:A sound source 9 is a sound source means, timbre is set according to control data inputted from a CPU 1 through a bus 2, and a musical sound is generated while the sounding state is controlled. Then, the sound source 9 decides by time-division processing whether the note number of the inputted note-on information is even or odd by using the least significant digit bit of a note number stored in a RAM 8. The musical sound is assigned to a right or left channel according to whether the note number is even or odd. Here, a MIDI circuit 5 transfers a signal which controls a sound source module to the CPU 1 or receives the signal from the CPU 1 and changes the localization of the musical sound between the right and left channels to generate the musical sound based upon the note-on information. Consequently, the player obtains the intended stereophonic effect by changing the localization of the musical sound according to whether the note number is even or odd. |
