PURPOSE: To engrave one or more selected patterns by making the machine a portable device equipped with a laser device, a beam exposure device and a housing device for housing an electronic device that controls a laser beam or the like. CONSTITUTION: This portable apparatus has an exit for connection to a cable connecting to an independent computer controller. The apparatus is equipped with a laser device 44 for providing a laser beam 52 and a beam releasing device 56 containing a carriage assembly device 60 capable of moving in X, Y directions for the purpose of positioning the laser device. The apparatus is also equipped with a device for supporting a workpiece 74 and an electronic device for controlling at least either the carriage assembly 60 for the laser beam during the engraving. The apparatus is further equipped with a housing device for housing the laser device, a beam emitting device and the electronic device. As a result, the portable laser engraving apparatus can be obtained which is connected to the independent controller for the purpose of engraving selected patterns. |
