<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the failure of a sandwich glass for preliminary press welding by passing the sandwich glass between plural pressing rollers having a rotatable mechanisms within the plane approximately perpendicular to the pass direction of a laminate for sandwich glass. CONSTITUTION:The preliminary press welding device is arrayed with the many pressing rolls 1 which are lined with rubber on the surfaces and are mounted to a rotating frame 6 via bearings 5 mounted to an oscillating frame 4 as shown in Figs. I to II. The device is kept pressurized to about 2Kg/cm<2> by an air cylinder 3. The laminate 14 for sandwich glass is passed between these pressing rolls 1 which are disposed above and below. The laminate is thereby preliminarily press welded. The pressing rolls 1 have the mechanisms rotatable within the plane approximately perpendicular to the pass direction of the laminate 14 for sandwich glass as shown in Fig. II and, therefore, the rolls rotate naturally along the glass shape during the passage of the laminate 14 for sandwich glass and do not exert undue bending moment on the glass; therefore, the possibility of the failure of even the glass having some large curvature is eliminated.</p> |
