The vending machine contains two or more adjacent chutes (10) contg. stacks of packages. Each chute has an associated elector for the lowest package, pref. externally actuated. The ejectors of two adjacent chutes are rigidly connected together in pairs. The ejectors in each pair are selectively pivoted in opposite directions about a vertical drive axis by a common drive motor to engage the corresp. chutes. Each ejector has a thrust surface (46) and a support surface (48) for the next package. ADVANTAGE - Designed for max compactness at min prodn.
