PURPOSE:To smoothly deflect air, providing the upper plate of the air conditioner with a nozzle-like air blow-off port and fitting the lower plate with an arc-shaped deflector so that the deflector can be brought into and out of contact with the lower plate and the gap between them can be adjusted. CONSTITUTION:When a lever 20 is in the position shown by the full line in Fig., the air in the side of an oblique part 5 flows down as shown by the arrow A and the air having passed through the deflector 16 flows down acutely due to the Coanda effect as shown by the arrow B. These flows A, B are oriented down as a whole due to their mutual attraction as shown by the arrow C. When the lever 20 is shifted into the position represented by the chain line in Fig., the air on the side of the oblique part 5 proceds in the direction of the arrow D while the air on the side of an inlet part 17 of the deflector 16 flown in the direction of the arrow E. These airs D, E are horizontally blown off as a whole due to their mutual attraction as shown by the arrow F. Thereby, the air resistance is reduced. Becaused the air does not collide against numerous air orientation plates, the noises are low and the air is smoothly deflected. |
