A sealing strip 5 has a channel-shaped base part 10, the distal edges of the side walls carrying enlargements. A seal 12 is mounted on the base 10. The strip 5 is secured to the outer periphery of the door 6 of a vehicle body by means of two different types of fixture, the two different types of fixture being secured to the door periphery at different peripheral parts thereof. One form of fixture comprises a rigid metal channel 22 which embraces the outside of the enlargements on the base 10. The other type of fixture is in the form of metal studs secured to the periphery of the door at intervals and extending into the channel of the base 10 so that the enlargements across the mouth of the latter channel engage the underside of the heads of the studs. <IMAGE> |
