1364710 Toothed gearing BAYERISCHE BERG - HUTTEN - & SALZWERKE AG 11 Nov 1971 [21 Nov 1970] 52389/71 Heading F2Q An internally toothed annulus 6 has an outer frusto-conical surface which is connected resiliently to a complementary frusto-conical surface on a surrounding member 13 by means of layer 10 of rubber which is vulcanized to the frusto-conical surfaces. The gears 3, 4 and 6 have spur toothing. In a modification in which gears 3, 4 have herringbone teeth, an outer annulus 6<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 3, consists of two individual helical wheel halves which jointly form a herringbone toothed wheel, and elastic layers between frusto-conical surfaces taper in opposite directions. In another modification, an internally toothed annulus 6<SP>11</SP> is resiliently carried by a cup-shaped member 12 secured to an output shaft 9, the gears 4 being mounted on a fixed carrier 5. In a method of resiliently mounting a toothed annulus 6 in a member 13, a layer of rubber 10 is vulcanized to the frusto-conical surfaces, causing relative axial movement of the members 6, 13, and projecting parts are subsequently removed by machining. |
