PURPOSE:To allow the respectively independent control of the magnetic characteristics, carrier resistance, and triboelectrostatic charge quantity by forming a binder resin of a silicone resin contg. an org. tin compd. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin of the magnetic carrier formed by dispersing magnetic powder and conductive fine particles into the binder resin is the silicone resin contg. org. tin compd. The amt. of the org. tin compd. to be used is 0.1 to 50wt.% more preferably 1 to 2wt.% by the solid content of the silicone resin. The electrostatic charge quantity with a toner can be adjusted by adjusting the ratio of the org. tin when the SiOH of the silicone resin is brought into condensation reaction by the org. tin catalyst in this case. The respectively independent control of the magnetic characteristics, carrier resistance and triboelectrostatic charge quantity is possible in this way. |
