PURPOSE:To extremely shorten the system recovering time by selecting a storage that combines a high speed and small capacity storage with a low speed and large capacity storage and performs a recovery process based on the latest proper history information in order to minimize the system recovering time. CONSTITUTION:The history information produced first is stored in a 1st storage 5, e.g., a semiconductor memory of a comparatively small capacity which is capable of a high speed access. Then the history information is transferred to a 2nd storage 6, e.g., a magnetic disk device having a low access speed and a comparatively large capacity after a prescribed period. When a system is recovered, the accessable storage 5 or 6 that has the least system recovering time and the proper latest history information is selected. Then the desired history information is read out and used for the recovery process. As a result, the system recovering time is extremely shortened. |
