PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure sensitive recording developer sheet excellent in color developing properties and printability by constituting the specific ratio of white pigments in a developing layer from a needle bar-shaped calcium carbonate tying material with a specific mean particle size, in which aragonite needle bar-shaped calcium carbonate primary particles are intertwined with each other irregularly in three dimensions. CONSTITUTION:A color developing layer including a developer composed of an electron acceptable organic acid material, white pigments and a binder is provided on a sheet base, and 5-100wt.% of white pigments in said developing layer is constituted from a needle bar-shaped calcium carbonate tying material with a mean particle size of less than 4mum, in which aragonite needle bar-shaped calcium carbonate primary particles are intertwined with each other irregularly in three dimensions. Calcium carbonate shaped in such manner is bulky and large in oil absorption to absorb oil released from a microcapsule efficiently. Therefore, when said calcium carbonate is included in said developing layer, it is possible to obtain a developer sheet which is high in coloring concentration and coloring speed. Also, said developer sheet is excellent in ink absorption and water absorption so as to be capable of realizing a pressure sensitive record with a beautiful printing finish which is excellent in off-set printability. |
