Method for monitoring the revolution sensors of the drive train of a motor vehicle, the values of the output signals of at least three revolution sensors (2, 7, 8) of the drive train, which contains an automatic change-speed transmission (5), are compared, after conversion of the transmission ratios present in each case between them to give synchronous values, deviations of the synchronous values from one another being detected and evaluated.
