PURPOSE:To prevent any foreign matter and air bubbles from flowing into an intake port, by covering the upper side of the intake port inside an oil basin so as to mount a screen, in a lubricating device in which lubricating oil in the oil basin attached to an engine main body is supplied to portions requiring lubrication by a lubricating pump. CONSTITUTION:In an internal combustion engine 17 mounted on the top part of a pusher casing in an outboard motor through a panel type intermediate member 16, an oil pan 41 is mounted on the intermediate member 16, while an oil tank 42 is mounted sideward or in front of a crank case 23. Also, a pump device 43 consisting of a feed oil pump 53 for transferring lubricating oil staying in the oil pan 41 into the oil tank 42 and a lubricating pump 54 for supplying the lubricating oil staying in the oil tank 42 to a sliding part and the like is mounted on the lower side surface of a cylinder block 22. In this occasion, a screen 49 is provided on the intermediate part inside the tank positioned higher than the intake port 48A of an oil flow out passage 48 formed on the oil tank 42, so that any foreign matter and air bubbles are prevented from flowing into the intake port 48A. |
