PURPOSE:To inhibit the thermal irreversible change of a recording material and to stabilize the material by using specified zinc porphyrin as a guest component. CONSTITUTION:This recording material is an optical recording material utilizing nonphotochemical whole burning phenomenon, enabling multiple recording at the same position with rays of light having different wavelengths and made of a compsn. based on zinc porphyrin represented by the formula as a guest component and a host component compatible with the guest component as a main component. In the formula, one or more among X1-X4 are aryl groups each having an ionic group or ionic heterocyclic groups and the others are H or nonionic groups. Zinc 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-N-methylpyridinium)porphyrin tetraiodide may be used as the guest component and PVA as the host component. |
