PURPOSE:To obtain a good image even when it is an image of intermediate tone by controlling toner density of the image formed on a photosensitive body by increasing/decreasing developing bias to an appropriate value in the manner of increasing/decreasing electrifying control output. CONSTITUTION:After controlling the toner density of the toner image formed on the photosensitive body 20 by increasing/decreasing the developing bias of a developing means 23, the electrifying control output of an electrifying control means 24 is controlled by increasing/decreasing to the appropriate value. By adjusting the image density of low density area of the toner image formed on the photosensitive 20 body and the developing bias in this way, and next adjusting the electrifying control output of the electrifying control means 14 to adjust the image density of the toner image formed on the photosensitive body, the good image which is not affected by environmental change can be obtained. |
