<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in adsorptivity by laminating a activated-carbon fiber plate pierced with many passage holes on one another so that the axial centers of the holes of the adjacent plates are shifted from one another and the holes communicate with each other in the laminating direction. CONSTITUTION:A nonwoven fabric of pitch-based carbon fiber is impregnated with a soln. of phenolic resin in methanol and then dried in the air. The dried article is laminated in three layers, and the laminate is compressed into a plate. The activated-carbon fiber plate 1 is laminated so that the axial centers of the passage holes 2 of the adjacent plated 1 are shifted from one another and the holes communicate with each other in the laminating direction. The periphery of each plate 1 is reinforced by a frame 3. As a result, a fluid to be treated is brought into good contact with the plate.</p> |
