PURPOSE:To produce in a series of steps a fused box provided with a predetermined shape at a bottom part thereof by providing a predetermined shape comprising a recessed part and a projected part at a part corresponding to the bottom part, cutting plate material in a flat plate condition, bending and raising the periphery of the bottom part to form side walls, and thermally fusing ends of the side walls to each other. CONSTITUTION:A plate material P provided with a projected part 13 is supplied from a containing hopper 41 into a box-making zone S1, and is set in a predetermined position on an upper surface of a metallic mold 31. A hot blade 21 is pressed against the plate material P to provide V-shaped bending grooves at predetermined parts of the plate material P which parts becomes the periphery of a bottom part 11, and to cut off edge parts at corners by melting. A pair of a first pressing plate 23 and a second pressing plate 31 are moved downward, with the plate material P clamped therebetween, whereby the plate material P devoid of the edge parts is inserted into the mold 31. By this, the parts constituting side walls 12 of the plate material P are raised by bending along the inner walls of the mold 31, with the bending grooves as reference lines, and end parts of the side walls 12 are pressed against each other in the molten state, thereby the plate material P is formed into the shape of a box. |
