Method and device for the detection of knocking signals

For the detection of knocking signals in internal combustion engines it is usual to filter out only the signal contents of the fundamental wave. In the present invention the entire knocking noise signal is subjected to comb filtering in order to detect the signal contents of the fundamental and harmonic waves and to perform a corresponding analysis of these. Such a measure is essentially more significant and reliable with regard to suitable measures for the suppression of knocking noise.
