PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in the adhesive strength to a toner and the flocculation of the toner and to improve the flowability thereof by subjecting an external lubricant to a surface treatment. CONSTITUTION:The surface treatment by coupling agents, such as chlorosilanes and alkoxysilanes is executed as the external lubricant, by which the toner for developing electrostatic charge images having the excellent flowability is obtd. While the electrification in the respective particles of the external lubricant is nonuniformized by the ruggedness existing on the surface of the external lubricant and the respective particles of the external lubricant are in an easily flocculatable state before the external lubricant is subjected to the surface treatment, the adhesive strength of the external lubricant to the toner is improved by the surface treatment and the flocculation is prevented. The degradation in the adhesive strength of the external lubricant to the toner and the dispersion by the flocculation are obviated in this way and the flowability is improved. |
