摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the light output, by using a specified scintillator and a photodetector. CONSTITUTION:0.001-10wt.% of at least one sintering aid selected from among compounds of formulas II-IV, LiF, F, and Na3AlF6 is incorporated into a powder of formula I (wherein Ln is at least one element selected from among Gd, La, and Y; X is F and/or Cl; 3X10<-6=x<0.2; 10<-6=y<=5X10<-3>; and content of X is 2-1,000ppm). The obtained mixture is put in a metallic container for vacuum sealing, subjected to a hot isostatic process under 500-2,000atm. at 800-1,700 deg.C, and annealed in an inert gas containing 0.05-1,000ppm O2 at 800-1,500 deg.C, thus giving a scintillator. A silicon photodiode 3 is put at the bottom of a brass container 6 on the inside of which a light-reflecting surface consisting of Al has been formed. After a lead glass 8 is laid on the silicon photodiode 3, a scintillator layer 2 and a thin Al film 5 are laminated thereon.
