PURPOSE:To easily form a graphic including an optional pattern in its outline by executing logical operation between a status signal formed from changing point data read out from a page memory and a pattern signal read out from a submemory. CONSTITUTION:A data conversion circuit 11 finds out black-and-white changing points in each scanning line based upon outline data b and develops the changing points in a main memory 12 corresponding to the page memory. On the other hand, pattern data are stored in the submemory 14 and the pattern data speci fied by a pattern specification code c are inputted to a logical operation circuit 17 through a selection circuit 16. The black-and-white changing point data developed in the memory 12 are read out in each scanning line and inputted to a status signal generating circuit 13. White run and black run status signals formed in the circuit 13 are inputted to the circuit 17. The circuit 17 finds out the AND operation between the status signal from the circuit 13 and the pattern data selected by the circuit 16 to obtain an output signal. When the signals of all the lines are inputted to an output device 18, a graphic including the pattern in its outline can be formed. |
