Novel adenine derivatives and their use as agents for increasing crop yields.

<p>Disclosed are novel adenine derivatives represented by the formula I and salts thereof represented by the formula II: <CHEM> wherein n is an integer of from 2 to 4 and X is an equivalent of hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid or acetic acid. Agents for increasing yield of crops such as leguminous crops and gramineous crops which contain the above adenine derivatives or salts thereof as an active ingredient and a method for increasing the yield of crops using these agents are also disclosed.</p>
